Frequently Asked Questions

GENERAL

Project Shop is an online outsourcing platform that connects Clients with Creatives in Singapore. Allowing a Client to post a project, whether a short or long term project and choose from skilled Singapore Creatives who offer bids with their rates, quotes and proposals. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Clients can have their pick of Creatives in Singapore who have the skills needed to get their project done, without undertaking the expense and commitment of hiring full time Creatives. Creatives can tap into a readily available source of constant project opportunities from Clients who are specifically looking for them.

Yes, Project Shop is FREE to use and will always be FREE!

There are different tiers that will be implemented in the coming months that offer more services that will help make the transactions more efficient.

Free Tier
Project Shop is free for the following:

  • to sign up
  • post a project
  • receive bids from creatives
  • review the creative’s portfolio
  • to discuss the project requirements
  • to accept a Bid

To Note, with this option, all Clients and all Creatives are to be fully responsible for any agreements, disagreements or payments. Project Shop will NOT be liable for any agreements, disagreements or payments that have been discussed between the Client and the Creative.

Silver Tier
Project Shop offers extra features.

  • Escrow Service
  • Dispute Management

Escrow Service allows the Client to provide funds for the project upfront, and releases the funds only when the Designer has completed the desired work. This allows the Client to ensure that work is properly delivered, and gives the Designer an assurance that payment will be received, and on time.

On top of the Escrow Service, Project Shop will be able to have a Dispute Management system whereby Project Shop will step in when a dispute has been raised by either the Designer or the Client during a project. This dispute may be a result of any disagreements or miscommunications. When a dispute has been raised and handed over to Project Shop, we will investigate the matter and provide a verdict that is final. Further appeals will not be entertained.

Gold Tier

Project Shop also offers exclusive services to Corporates, Creative Studios and to our Members. We are able to provide creative services with an in-house design team as well as do the sourcing of creatives for you! For more details, kindly drop us a mail at [email protected].

You may read more about our Terms and Conditions on our User Agreement page.
PScrow Payment is a custom payment solution by Project Shop. It is a paid service which allows clients to pre-fund desired work and release funds to Designers when projects are completed. They’ll be able to review and approve delivered work before releasing payment. PScrow also gives Designers the comfort of knowing that a project is funded before they begin working.

This will be implemented in the coming months.

Fill up a short sign up form where you will be asked to create a unique username for identification in our system and to provide a valid email address. You do not have to give any personal information to start your membership with us.

Create your profile. Fill out your profile correctly and completely to let Clients know who you are as a person, the skills and experiences you have as well as works that you have done. Creatives with incomplete profiles will not be allowed to bid for projects.

You must fill up basic details about yourself before moving on to Work Experiences, Certifications and Education.

Basic Details
Display Picture, Name, Professional Title, Location, Experience, Hourly Rate, Skills, More Information

There are two reasons why your profile might not be displayed.

  1. You have yet to complete your profile. Make sure to fill up the basic details in the first section – Name, Professional Title, Years of Experience, Hourly Rate, Skills and More Information.
  2. You have turned off ‘Available for Hire’ in your profile. Use this function only when you’re not available.
Yes! We act as an extra marketing platform for you, and provide a system for you to look at readily available projects!

With Project Shop, it will be an extra avenue where you can market yourself and let Clients know you exist! Make yourself readily available and have your skill sets put to good use! We’re only accepting people like YOU, in Singapore. You do not need to adjust your prices to compete on a global scale. You’ll only be bidding on a project with other Creatives in Singapore. Local platform, local creatives, local rates!

Project Shop does not offer any work, but we give you a system to find work. On top of that, we also source for projects on a daily basis to give you projects! We’re a team of Creatives ourselves so we do understand the whole Creative process, especially when you have to be creative and keep finding projects. Leave the sourcing to us. You just need to be creative.

You may get paid via an agreement you have with the Client or through the PScrow Payment service we’re offering that will be implemented only in the coming months.

At the moment, Project Shop does not collect any commission fee for projects engaged between you and the client. Project Shop will not be liable and/or guarantee any agreements, disagreements or payments that you have made with the Client. Thus, you will be paid via an arrangement you have made with the Client, whether it’s through our in built messaging system or through other means.

For the Project Commission Based Route (that will come later in the coming months), you will be paid via a PScrow system where funds will be released to you via your Bank Account. This mode of payment also requires the Client to fund the project before it has started, which will ensure that the funds will reach you when the project has been successfully completed.

Yes, all Clients have been vetted individually by us. If you notice any suspicious or inappropriate behaviour, kindly contact us at [email protected] and we will investigate the matter.
By vetting every single Client that is on the platform, we provide a trusting and safe environment for you to express yourself creatively.

With the different payment plans we have in place, we ensure that you get paid for the work you have successfully completed and mediate between both parties if an unfortunate dispute arises.

We take work done on this platform seriously and will investigate matters thoroughly.

Here are a few tips that will make Clients want you!

  • Be sure to upload a photo on your profile. It’s much easier to recognize and relate to a face than a username.
  • You might want to consider using your full name or Creative name as your display name.
  • Upload works that you have done to your portfolio so that Clients will know the kind of style you have and works that you have experience in.
  • Fill up your education and working experience details so that the Client understands your background even more.
